Fresh off their very first sell out event in 2017, Stendhal Festival is well and truly setting the wheels in motion for the eighth instalment of the festival, set for August 10 and 11, 2018.
The team behind the award winning event held at Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady, have opened up their submission process for acts, artists and vendors who would like to play a part in this summer’s collective of all things creative. Simply visit Stendhalfestival.com and fill out an online form to apply.
Event Director Ross Parkhill says that this is always one of his favourite times of the year. “For us it’s like Christmas all over again,” he laughed. “Every year we get to discover some new talent and new tracks from acts that we have been keeping an eye on over the years.
“The Submission process always throws up some amazing finds, Ryan McMullan who has sold out the Mandela Hall and the Limelight in the past 12 months first came to our attention via our submissions, likewise with acts such as SOAK and several other notable names from the Northern Irish Music scene.”
Ross added: “If you are an artist of any description, musician, comedian, magician, sculptor, painter, anything, please get in touch and let us know that you are out there. We pride ourselves on having the most diverse programme in the country and we know that we have the talent right here in Northern Ireland to continue to do so, so please drop us a line on the website before applications close on January 16.
“Same goes for food and general traders, we want or traders offerings to be as diverse as the acts on stage as we look to accommodate an estimated 8000 guests at the farm this summer.” Traders who wish to apply contact Stendhal via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Ross concluded by asking the public to again support the festival at the annual Irish Festival awards. “We are up for two awards this year, Best Small Festival and Best Line-up, so if anyone has a spare 30 seconds to show us some love by voting for us, we’d be incredibly grateful.”
